Test Q: Left Turn Signal Indicator Light Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check left turn indicator bulb for continuity. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If bulb is okay, go to next step. If bulb is not okay, replace bulb.
  2. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250b. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Place multifunction switch in left turn signal position. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 16 (Light Green/White wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C250b. See Figure. If voltage fluctuates between 0-10 volts, go to next step. If voltage does not fluctuate 0-10 volts, repair open in Light Green/White wire.
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250c. See Figure. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 12 (Black wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C250c. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace instrument cluster. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire and retest. Ground point is behind bottom of left cowl panel.
