Test P: High Beam Indicator Light Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check high beam indicator bulb for continuity. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If bulb is okay, go to next step. If bulb is not okay, replace bulb.
- Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C250c. Turn headlights ON. Place multifunction switch in high beam position. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 8 (Light Green/Black wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C250c. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, replace instrument cluster. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Verify headlight high beam operation. If high beams work properly, repair open in Light Green/Black wire. If high beams do not operate properly, repair high beam circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
