Test P: High Beam Indicator Light Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check high beam indicator bulb for continuity. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If bulb is okay, go to next step. If bulb is not okay, replace bulb.
  2. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C250c. Turn headlights ON. Place multifunction switch in high beam position. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 8 (Light Green/Black wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C250c. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, replace instrument cluster. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
  3. Verify headlight high beam operation. If high beams work properly, repair open in Light Green/Black wire. If high beams do not operate properly, repair high beam circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
