Test K: Yellow Brake (Abs) Warning Indicator Light Never On
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect anti-lock brake system module connector C1040a. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 1 (Dark Green wire) at anti-lock brake system module connector C1040a. See Figure. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If anti-lock brake system warning light does not illuminate, go to next step. If anti-lock brake system warning light illuminates, diagnose anti-lock brake system. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove Yellow anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning light bulb. Check bulb for continuity. If bulb is okay, go to next step. If bulb is not okay, replace bulb.
- Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250c. See Fig 1. Measure resistance between terminal No. 11 (Dark Green wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C250c and terminal No. 1 (Dark Green wire) at anti-lock brake system module harness connector C1040a. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace instrument cluster. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Dark Green wire.
