Horn Relay (Mini-ISO)

  1. Remove horn relay. Measure resistance between relay terminal No. 85 and all other terminals (except terminal No. 86). See Fig 1. If any resistance is 5 ohms or less (except terminal No. 86), replace relay. If all resistances are more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Attach jumper wire between relay terminal No. 30 and battery positive terminal. Measure voltage between relay terminal No. 87A and ground. If battery voltage is not present, replace relay. If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
  3. Attach second jumper wire from relay terminal No. 86 to battery positive terminal. Attach third jumper wire between relay terminal No. 85 and ground. Measure voltage between relay terminal No. 87 and ground. If battery voltage is not present, replace relay. If battery voltage is present, relay is okay.
