Removal (Rear - Dana 80)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Mark drive shaft position for installation reference. Disconnect drive shaft, and wire shaft to frame. Using a suitable pinion flange holder, remove pinion nut.
    2. CAUTION: Hammering on companion flange could result in damage to ring and pinion gear.
  2. Using Puller (205-D026), remove pinion flange. Carefully remove pinion oil seal so as not to damage housing seal surface.
