Pre-Disassembly Inspection
NOTE:
It is recommended, but not necessary, that axle housing be removed for overhaul. See Fig 1 to identify differential components throughout overhaul procedure.
Before disassembly, visually inspect differential parts for wear and/or damage. Rotate gears and check for any roughness which would indicate damaged bearings or gears.
