Test F: All Vent Windows Inoperative
- Disconnect right side vent window switch harness connector. Measure voltage between right side vent window switch harness connector terminal No. 4 (Pink wire) and ground. See Figure
. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, repair vent window switch ground circuit (Black wire) and retest system operation.
- Disconnect vent window relay located in battery junction box. Measure voltage between vent window relay connector terminal No. 2 (Light Blue/Black wire) and ground. Measure voltage between vent window relay connector terminal No. 3 (Red/Black wire) and ground. See Fig 1
. If voltage is greater than 10 volts at both terminals, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts at one or both terminals, repair open or short to ground in Light Blue/Black wire and/or Red/Black wire and retest system operation.
- Measure resistance between vent window relay connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 10 volts, repair open in Black wire and retest system operation.
- Test vent window relay. See MICRO ISO RELAY
under COMPONENT TESTS. If vent window relay is okay, repair open in Pink wire and retest system operation. If vent window relay is faulty, replace vent window relay.
