Shock Absorber: Removal

Raise and support vehicle.
Use a suitable jack, support rear axle
Remove the shock absorber lower retaining nut and bolt. See Fig 1 and Figure .

On F-Super Duty and Motorhome models, remove the nut from the upper shock absorber mounting bracket and remove the shock. On the Excursion model, remove the two shock absorber upper mounting bolts. See Fig 2 through Figure .
