Valve Lifter: Removal

  1. Remove appropriate cylinder head. See CYLINDER HEAD .
  2. Remove retaining bolt and camshaft follower guide. See Figure.
  3. Mark valve lifter location for installation reference. Remove valve lifter from cylinder block. If necessary to disassemble valve lifter, remove retainer and components from valve lifter body. See Figure.
