High-Pressure Oil Pump Drive Gear: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure sealing surfaces on high-pressure oil pump reservoir and front cover are clean. Install NEW gasket on front cover and apply RTV sealant on front cover before installing high-pressure oil pump reservoir.
  2. Ensure high-pressure oil pump reservoir is filled with clean engine oil. Ensure seal is properly seated when installing compressor manifold on turbocharger.
