Removal (Van)
- Disconnect negative battery cables. Remove interior engine cover. When removing passenger-side exhaust manifold, remove air cleaner assembly. Remove oil level indicator tube and retaining nut.
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove exhaust inlet pipe-to-exhaust manifold bolt/nuts. Exhaust inlet pipe fits between exhaust manifold and exhaust inlet adapter on turbocharger. On right side, disconnect exhaust backpressure line from manifold. On both sides, remove bolts and exhaust manifold.
