Fuel Gauge Test

  1. On bi-fueled vehicles, switch alternative fuel mode select switch to gasoline mode. Disconnect fuel pump/sending unit connector. Connect a 22.4 ohm resistor between fuel pump/sending unit connector Yellow/White wire terminal and ground. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Wait one minute. Fuel gauge should read empty.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect a 145 ohm resistor between fuel pump/sending unit connector Yellow/White wire terminal and ground. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Wait one minute. Fuel gauge should read full. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
