Removal and Installation

- Remove the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
- If equipped, disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- If equipped, detach the sensor harness from the brake hose.
- If equipped, remove the wheel speed sensor bolt and position the sensor aside.
- Remove the bolts and position the caliper, pads and anchor plate aside.
- Remove the eight nuts, the hub extender and the brake disc.
- If equipped, remove the wheel speed sensor harness bolt.
- Remove the nuts and the hub and bearing.
- Remove the shield.
- Position the hub and bearing in a vise with protective caps and remove the studs using two mounting nuts.
- Remove and discard the O-ring.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the wheel hub and brake disc mounting surfaces are clean.
