"U" Joint Operating Angle
WARNING:
On vehicles with electronic air suspension, suspension system must be disabled prior to hoisting or jacking. See DISABLING ELECTRONIC AIR SUSPENSION under MAINTENANCE.
NOTE:
Ensure that all engine and transmission mounts are in good condition before performing this procedure.
Using Anglemaster II Driveline Inclinometer (164-R2402) to measure drive shaft angle, engine angle and pinion angle. See Figure. Record measurements and direction of components angle. Fig 1. Calculate difference in angle of components to determine U-joint operating angle. See Figure.
