Removal And Installation

Set the parking brake.
Remove the axle shaft bolts.
- Place a drain pan under the rear hub.

Remove the axle shaft.

Inspect the following components:
- The O-ring for damage. Install a new O-ring as necessary.
- The axle shaft for cracked material around the holes or oversized holes. Install new components as necessary.

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring with premium long-life grease.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft).
