Removal (Cougar)

  1. Drain cooling system. Raise and support vehicle. Remove right wheel. Remove right side lower splash shield. See Figure. Lower vehicle. Loosen water pump pulley bolts (do not remove bolts). See Figure.
  2. Rotate accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise, remove accessory drive belt. See Figure. Remove water pump pulley. Remove water pump bolts, remove water pump. See Figure. Clean gasket mating surfaces.
