Cylinder Head: Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD . Remove exhaust manifold. See EXHAUST MANIFOLD . Remove timing belt. See TIMING BELT . Remove camshafts and valve tappets. See CAMSHAFT .
Remove cylinder head retaining bolts in sequence. See Fig 1.
