Transmission Solenoid Cycling & Drive Test (Dynamic Test): Engagements

  1. Set gear select switch to 3/R position. Shift transaxle from Park to Reverse. Reverse should engage. Shift transaxle from Reverse to Park. Set gear select switch to "1" position. Depress EPC switch. Line pressure should drop to idle pressure (64 psi (4.5 kg/cm2 ).
  2. While depressing EPC switch, shift transaxle from Park to Drive. Vehicle should shift into Drive with smooth engagement. Release EPC switch and repeat previous procedure. Vehicle shift engagement should be firm with EPC switch released.
