Output Shaft Speed Sensor

The Output Shaft Speed (OSS) is a magnetic pick-up that detects park gear teeth (output shaft) rotational speed. Signal is sent to PCM and used for shift scheduling. Input is also used for electronic speedometer, trip computer, speed control and adaptive damping.
