Suspension System: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Do not lubricate the stabilizer bar bushings for any reason.
The suspension system consists of the following components:
- Front suspension
- Upper control arm
- Lower control arm
- Shock absorber and spring assembly
- Stabilizer bar, links, and bushings
- Wheel bearing, hub, and knuckle
- Wheel and tire assembly
- Rear suspension
- Shock absorber
- Leaf spring
- Wheel and tire assembly
The front caster, camber and splits are adjusted by loosening the lower control arm-to-frame mounting bolts and installing the alignment kit (3B236) to allow the arm to be adjusted in the frame slots. Front toe is adjusted by adjusting the front wheel knuckle tie-rod.
