Crankshaft Pulley: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
  3. Remove the fan blade assembly. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  4. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  5. Using the special tool to prevent the crankshaft rotation, remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and washer.

  6. Using the special tools, remove the crankshaft pulley.
