Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
  4. If equipped, remove the 2 bolts and position the power steering fluid cooler aside.
    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).

  5. Loosen the A/C compressor bolts enough to slide the A/C compressor down 25 mm (1 in), to allow access to the CKP sensor.

  6. Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
  7. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure
