Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 4.2L

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sense electrical connector.
  4. Remove the bolts and the CKP sensor.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
