Removal and Installation

- Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Remove the cooling fan and shroud. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN - BLADE, CLUTCH AND SHROUD .
- Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the upper degas bottle hose.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
- Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tubes.
- Remove the bolts, the radiator support brackets and the upper radiator insulators
- To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- Remove the radiator.
- Remove the lower radiator insulators.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
