Exhaust Manifold - RH: Installation

    CAUTION: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs, or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These may cause scratches and gouges resulting in leak paths. Use a plastic scraper to clean the sealing surfaces.
  1. Clean the sealing surfaces with metal surface prep.
    2. NOTE: Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.

  2. Position the gasket and the RH exhaust manifold and tighten the nuts in the sequence shown.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  3. Position the Y-pipe flange and install the 2 nuts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  4. Install the RH inner fenderwell. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  5. Install the starter. For additional information, refer to STARTING SYSTEM .
