Intermittent Simulation

Monitor circuit/component voltage or resistance while attempting to simulate intermittent. Use the results to identify a faulty component or circuit.

The following methods for reproducing an intermittent fault can be performed while testing component or circuit:

Lightly vibrate components and wiggle or bend wiring harness (simulates bumpy road surface).
Heat component (simulates hot engine and ambient temperatures).
Spray component with water (simulates moisture conditions, poor weather).
Remove/apply vacuum source (simulates engine load and speed).
