Preliminary Inspections

Visually inspect engine compartment to ensure all vacuum hoses and spark plug wires are properly routed and securely connected.
Ensure all wiring harnesses and connectors are checked for damaged, burned or overheated insulation and loose or broken conditions.
Ensure battery is fully charged.
All accessories should be off during diagnosis.

NOTE: In order for testing procedures to provide accurate results, it is essential that calibration of engine analyzer be maintained. Refer to equipment manufacturer's operating manual for procedure to calibrate engine analyzer.
