Diagnostic Aids

Perform this test when instructed during SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS or another SYSTEM TEST. This test is used to diagnose the following:
- Throttle body assembly.
- Accelerator cable - Linkage to throttle body.
- Air cleaner assembly (including air filter).
- Air inlet tube.
- Clean air tube (hose) and resonator.
System Inspection
- Visually inspect components of intake air system. Check for loose, kinked, pinched, or damaged air or damaged vacuum lines. Damaged or loose connections, insulation or air flow sensor.
- Check intake air hoses for cracking, loose clamps or a disconnected hose.
- If all checks are okay, proceed to TESTING .
