Safety Belt Retractor - Front, Without Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Removal

Regular cab vehicles

Using the special tool, remove the bolt. Remove the safety belt anchor.

NOTE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide cover.

Remove the driver side shoulder safety belt guide.
1. Open the cover.
2. Remove the nut.
3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

Remove the driver side door scuff plate and rear corner trim panel.
Remove the safety belt retractor.
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
3. Remove the safety belt retractor.

SuperCab vehicles

Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover pin-type retainer.

Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
1. Position the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover down.
2. Remove the bolt.
3. Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.

Remove the driver side door scuff plate.

Remove the bolt and position the safety belt retractor to the side.

Remove the bolt and the safety belt anchor.
- Remove the safety belt retractor.

Crew Cab driver side

Remove the front driver side safety belt anchor.
1. Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
2. Remove the front driver side safety belt anchor.

Crew Cab passenger side
Remove the front passenger side safety belt anchor.
1. Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
2. Remove the front passenger side safety belt anchor.

Crew Cab vehicles

Remove the driver side shoulder safety belt guide.
1. Open the cover.
2. Remove the nut.
3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

Remove the front and rear door scuff plates, the rear assist handle and the driver side B-pillar trim panel.
Remove the safety belt retractor.
1. Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
2. Pivot up at the bottom and remove the safety belt retractor.
