Removal and Installation

NOTE: New retaining bolts (W710721) must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. Retaining studs and nuts can be reused.
  1. Remove the seat mounting retainer covers.
  2. NOTE: Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.
  3. Remove the rear seat.
    • Remove and discard the mounting retaining bolts.
    • Remove the mounting retaining nuts and remove the seat.

  4. NOTE: When installing the seat, tighten the two new front mounting retaining bolts, then the rear two mounting retaining nuts.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  6. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
    • Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.
