Pinpoint Test B: The Power Seat Is Inoperative - Vehicles With Sir

Test Step

B1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE SEAT SWITCH
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Seat Control Switch C360 (Passenger Seat Control Switch C330).
- Measure the voltage between seat control switch C360, circuit 566 (DG) (passenger seat control switch C330, circuit 51 [BK/WH]), harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Result / Action to Take
- Yes : GO to B2.
- No : REPAIR driver circuit 566 (DG) (passenger circuit 51 [BK/WH]). TEST the system for normal operation.
B2 CHECK 57 (BK) CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
- Measure the resistance between driver seat control switch C360, circuit 57 (BK) (passenger seat control switch C330, circuit 57 [BK]), harness side and ground.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new seat control switch. REFER to SEAT CONTROL SWITCH - WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
