Inspection and Verification: Notes

- Verify the customer concern.
- Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical Electrical - Audio unit damaged, misaligned, or controls inoperative
- Antenna or antenna cable physically damaged or misaligned
- Speaker mounting/speaker cone damaged
- Radio ignition frequency interference suppression bond misaligned, dirty, or poor metal-to-metal contact
- Battery junction box (BJB) fuse(s):
- 11 (20 A)
- 32 (5A)
- 42 (15A)
- Damaged connectors
- Circuitry
- Damaged audio unit
- If the fault is not visually evident, perform the SPEAKER WALK-AROUND TEST AND SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MODE tests.
