Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Position the watershield aside.
    3. CAUTION: When drilling out the latch remote control rivets, do not oversize the holes in the door sheet metal. Make sure not to exceed a 6.25 mm (.25 in) drill bit.
  3. Remove the rear door latch remote control.
    1. Disconnect the necessary actuating rods and cables.
    2. Remove the rivets.
    3. Remove the rear door latch remote control.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
