Pinpoint Test D: No Power In Start

  1. D1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE IGNITION SWITCH 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250.
    • Measure the voltage between the ignition switch circuits and ground, as follows:
      IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUITS

      Ignition Switch C250 Circuit
      C250-2 325 (DB/OG)
      C250-9 1050 (LG/PK)

    • Are the voltages greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to D2.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit(s) in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. D2 CHECK CIRCUIT 16 (RD/LG) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the ignition switch C250-1, circuit 16 (RD/LG), harness side and the CJB C270c-4, circuit 16 (RD/LG), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to D3.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. D3 CHECK CIRCUIT 1522 (DG) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the ignition switch C250-5, circuit 1522 (DG), harness side and the CJB C270b-8, circuit 1522 (DG), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to D4.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. D4 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH
