Pinpoint Test H: The STOPLAMPS Are Inoperative

  1. H1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION (BPP) SWITCH 
    • Disconnect: BPP Switch C278.
    • Measure the voltage between BPP switch C278-5, circuit 10 (LG/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to H2.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. H2 CHECK THE BPP SWITCH 
    • Connect a fused jumper wire (20A) between BPP C278-5, circuit 10 (LG/RD), harness side and BPP C278-4, circuit 511 (LG), harness side.

    • Do the stoplamps operate?
