Pinpoint Test Q: The Parking, Rear Or License Lamps Are On Continuously

- Q1 CHECK THE HEADLAMP SWITCH
- Disconnect: Headlamp Switch C205a.
- Do the parking, rear or license lamps continue to illuminate?
- Yes
: If equipped with autolamps, GO to Q2.
If not equipped with autolamps, GO to Q3.
- No : INSTALL a new headlamp switch. REFER to LAMP SWITCH - HEADLAMP . TEST the system for normal operation.
- Q2 CHECK THE VEHICLE SECURITY MODULE
- Disconnect: Vehicle Security Module C2113b.
- Do the parking, rear or license lamps continue to illuminate?
- Yes : GO to Q3.
- No : GO to PINPOINT TEST G .
- Q3 CHECK CIRCUIT 14 (BN) FOR SHORT TO POWER
- Disconnect: Central Junction Box (CJB) C270b.
- Do the parking, rear or license lamps continue to illuminate?
- Yes : GO to Q4.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Q4 CHECK CIRCUIT 14 (BN) FOR SHORT TO POWER (REAR LAMP CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect: CJB C270j.
- Do the rear or license lamps continue to illuminate?
- Yes : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : GO to Q5.
- Q5 CHECK CIRCUIT 14 (BN) FOR SHORT TO POWER (FRONT LAMP CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect: CJB C270h.
- Do the front parking or side lamps continue to illuminate?
- Yes : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
