Removal and Installation

NOTE: Prior to removal of the instrument cluster, it is necessary to upload the instrument cluster configuration information to the diagnostic tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .

Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
Lower the steering wheel tilt adjustment.
Remove the 4 screws and position the instrument cluster away from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

If equipped, disconnect the transmission range indicator.
- Push in the clips and disconnect the transmission range indicator.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Download the instrument cluster configuration information from the diagnostic tool to the new instrument cluster. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
