Pinpoint Test E: Adjustable Pedal Moves Rearward Only

  1. E1 ISOLATE THE SWITCH 
    • Disconnect: Adjustable Pedal Switch C2089.
    • Measure the resistance between the adjustable pedal switch terminals 3 and 7, component side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to E2.
    • No  : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. E2 CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the adjustable pedal switch C2089 pin 3, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to SYMPTOM CHARTS .
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
