Accumulating Alternative Fuel Data
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Ford Pickup and 2002 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Alternative Fuel data can be accumulated in a number of ways. Gather as much data as possible when fault is occurring to prevent misdiagnosis. Data should be accumulated during different operating conditions, and based on customer description of intermittent fault. This will require recording Parameter Identification (PID) data in 4 conditions for comparison: KOEO, HOT IDLE, 30 MPH and 55 MPH. See PIN VOLTAGE/PID VALUE CHARTS - TRUCKS article.
