Vehicle Preparation & Equipment Hookup: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Ford Pickup and 2002 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Vehicles equipped with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) fuel systems will only start in ALT fuel mode with Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) temperatures greater than -13°F (-25°C). At temperatures less than this, LPG cannot vaporize. It may be necessary to bring vehicle to normal operating temperature in gasoline mode before restarting in ALT fuel mode.
Apply parking brake, and place shift lever in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T) position. Block drive wheels. Turn off all electrical accessories. Ensure engine is at normal operating temperature. Connect appropriate test equipment to vehicle as follows.
