Removal & Installation

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect filler tube and vent hose from fuel tank. Drain fuel from fuel tank. Remove EVAP emission splash shield. Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector. Disconnect vent hose.
- Disconnect fuel pressure and return line connectors. See FUEL LINE CONNECTORS . Support fuel tank using suitable jack. Remove fuel tank straps. Remove fuel tank. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
