Removal & Installation

CAUTION: Tip top of fuel pump while removing to avoid damage to fuel level sensor.

NOTE: Ensure top of fuel tank is free of dirt.

Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK . Disconnect fuel temperature sensor connector. Remove fuel pump bolts and remove fuel pump. Wipe seal area of tank clean.
Position NEW seal onto pump mounting flange, using grease to hold it in position. Position fuel pump in tank to original position. Install fuel pump flange bolts. Install fuel tank. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
