Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the accelerator pedal position sensor electrical connector.
  3. Remove the 3 nuts and the accelerator pedal position sensor assembly.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  4. Remove the 3 bolts and the accelerator pedal position sensor support bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
