Exhaust Downpipe - 6.0L Diesel: Installation

All vehicles

NOTE: Do not tighten any fasteners until all components are aligned.

Position the exhaust downpipe.
Loosely install the exhaust downpipe-to-catalytic converter nuts.
Install the exhaust downpipe to the turbo charger.
- Make sure the exhaust downpipe clip is over the lip on the turbocharger.
  - Align the exhaust clamp so that the exhaust downpipe clip and opening in exhaust clamp are aligned.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

Tighten the exhaust downpipe-to-catalytic converter nuts.
- Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
Install the transmission crossmember. For additional information, refer to FULL FRAME AND BODY MOUNTING .

Vehicles with automatic transmission

Position back and install the transmission fluid tube.

Position the transmission fluid indicator tube on the stud and install the retaining nut. Install the transmission fluid indicator.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
