Removal & Installation (4.0L)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor connector. See Fig 1. Remove CKP sensor mounting screws. Remove CKP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure CKP sensor wear tabs are contacting sensor wheel. After a few engine rotations proper clearance will be achieved.
