Removal & Installation (4.0L)

  1. Remove fuel injection supply manifold. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (4.0L)  under FUEL INJECTION SUPPLY MANIFOLD. Remove 2 bolts retaining fuel pulse damper. Remove "O" rings.
    2. CAUTION: Use "O" rings made of fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary "O" rings can cause fuel system to leak. DO NOT reuse "O" rings.
    NOTE: Lubricate NEW "O" rings with clean engine oil to aid installation.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
