Inspection and Verification

- Verify the customer concern by operating the safety belt.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Refer to the following VISUAL INSPECTION .VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical Electrical - Loose webbing
- Safety belt retractor and tongue assembly
- Blown fuse(s)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections
- Warning chime module
- Safety belt warning indicator switch
- If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom. GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
