Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern.
  2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.
    VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Binding latch mechanisms
    • Binding linkage
    • Misaligned door
    • Battery junction box (BJB) fuse 22 (60A)
    • Central junction box (CJB) fuse 5 (30A)
    • Circuitry
    • Door lock control switch
    • Door lock actuator
    • Remote transmitter
  3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  4. If the cause is not visually evident, verify that symptom and GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
