Inspection and Verification

  1. Visually inspect the components of the power window system to determine if any of the following electrical or mechanical concerns apply.
    VISUAL INSPECTION

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Window alignment
    • IP fuse panel (Fuse 21 (30A))
    • Window mounting (regulator and bracket)
    • Damage to wiring harness
    • Window frame interference
    • Loose or corroded connections
     
    • Damaged switches
  2. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage.
  3. If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom. GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
