Removal and Installation

  1. Disengage the detachable safety belt anchor if so equipped.
    1. Insert a key or small screwdriver into the slot in the detachable anchor and lift upward.
    2. Disengage the detachable anchor tongue end from the detachable anchor.
    NOTE: Right seat latch handle shown, left seat latch handle similar.
  2. Remove the bench seat.
    1. Pull the right and left handles rearward to release the seat from the latch strikers.
    2. Disengage the seat latch rod hook ends from the seat latch striker and remove the seat.

  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Make sure the safety belt is not twisted, then insert the safety belt tongue into the detachable anchor until you hear a "click" and feel the latch engage.
  4. Check the restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
